TechEmerge Sustainable Cooling in the Indian Hospitality Sector seeks innovative, climate-smart, cost-effective technologies and business models, including homegrown Indian solutions, that can meet IHCL’s cooling needs. These solutions should have the potential to be scaled across IHCL’s global business, and with other hospitality companies in India and the region more broadly. Innovations should enable thermal comfort in built environments without compromising the functionality of public areas, guest rooms, banquet halls, kitchens, laundries, and other spaces.
➡ Scalable, IoT-based innovations including field monitoring devices, meters and sensors that can collect and feed data into centralized systems that monitor energy savings, thermal comfort and indoor environmental quality.
➡ Data-driven tools and monitoring systems with centralized and distributed level controls, that deliver actionable insights in real-time across multiple locations (properties) on HVAC performance, thermal comfort, and indoor and outdoor environmental parameters including:
➡ Solutions that improve the performance of equipment catering to variable thermal loads by taking advantage of:
➡ Energy-efficient retrofits and solutions that enhance the efficiency of air distribution systems:
➡ Solutions that help manage heat gain and dissipation to improve indoor thermal comfort with low or no energy consumption; i.e. innovations that enable:
In addition to the passive cooling categories outlined above, innovators with active/passive cooling technologies including hybrid designs in evaporative cooling, vapor compression/adsorption/absorption cooling, thermal storage, solid-state cooling applications, and green refrigerants are strongly encouraged to apply.
