Senior Sustainable Energies Expert
Dr Manuel Alejandro Fuentes is a senior sustainable energies expert in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate change who has worked for the World Bank, IFC, PNUD, UNIDO, IADB, the EU, and several governments. With more than 15 years field experience in Latin America and the Caribbean, he has deep understanding of the political, cultural, and energy-related issues in the region. He has also worked in Europe and Africa. He obtained his PhD degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in quantum physics, and a Masters in Sustainable Development from Oxford.
