Kristen is a member of SAE, where is the liaison to the Interior Climate Control committee, which develops industry standards for automotive air conditioning systems, refrigerants, as well as fuel economy and greenhouse gas standards for vehicle climate control systems. She has also worked at the EPA on mobile air conditioners and energy efficiency, managed the Energy Star appliance program, and helped create the Energy Star Most Efficient and Emerging Technology Award program. In 2011, Kristen was invited to join the US Better Buildings Initiative and led commercial building technology deployment in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
