ColdHubs – solar powered cold rooms for first and last mile cooling and aggregation of fresh fruits, vegetables and other perishable food.
Cold room specifications: dimensions of 32 ft (L) * 20 ft (W) * 20 ft (H), 150 mm insulated walls, and an aluminum floor. Contains 100 tons of food in 5,000 units, 20kg stackable plastic crates.
Refrigeration unit: energy efficient Kilmtop Controls refrigeration unit designed for 24/7 refrigeration, natural refrigerants, cooling capacity of 18.3 kW/h, for off-grid use. Temperature is adjustable from +15° to +4° Celsius.
Solar power: 78 kW/h rooftop solar panels, batteries, and inverters, runs hubs on all-weather.
